Anyone else hear Wayne on the Adam Carolla CarCast (podcast) this morning?
The other week I was chatting with him about his 962 at the Singer presentation, and now he's on the "radio" with my philosophical hero. He's infiltrating my life! ![]() All kidding aside, it was cool to get some Air-Cooled P-car content featured on the CarCast.

Have never listened to CarCast until now but it only took me a moment to recognize some potential trademark infringement:

Thanks guys. We recorded this last week. I didn't post about it because I wasn't sure when it would be on. With the Monterey auctions in thus week, Adam's mind was on the prices of early 911s. I'll post more when I get back, I can only type so much on my tiny iPhone keyboard.
Thanks Wayne |

Too bad Adam will not STFU and let Wayne talk.
But it is nice to hear Wayne and some of the history of Pelican Parts. |

I am sorry but I got about 20 minutes into it and could not bare to listen any further. Adam Corolla kept talking over you Wayne and overpowering the supposed dialogue, this interview podcast or whatever was not an interview with Wayne it was a conversation between Adam and himself.
Typical obnoxious and "wants to be seen and heard" Adam Corolla. His comments about the fact that the RS and 911 cars are only 6 cylinder cars and fetching large numbers with 1500 built is irrelevant, and of course he has to throw in there that he has V12 Lamborghinis. Sorry you had to endure this torture Wayne...you presented very well had great humility and very humble. Hope to meet you one day at Porsche get together in SoCal.

Nice, Wayne. Although we really need to get you a twice baked potato...
![]() I'm in the camp who finds Carolla almost unlistenable. Blathers on incessantly, which wouldn't be so bad, but then roughly 50% of what he spouts out is half correct at best, or just wrong at worst. A deadly combination. I'm sure if you brought the 962 he would have been unimpressed as "it only has 6 friggin' cylinders". I really enjoyed the segments where you were allowed to speak, though. Well done. Tim |

I thought it was a pretty good podcast. Adam Carolla is a radio personality, so naturally he's going to speak a lot.
The part of the video where Wayne bends over and rubs his wheel and says "oooh look at that, that's nice" was funny.

I listened to it yesterday, not bad. Carolla is in talk mode, because that is his job, and often the guests may not be as talkative as Wayne.
I don't think any of his comments about 6 cylinders and such were too "slanderous" to Porsches in general. They were in context about the fact that many 911's are increasing in value substantially.

It was fun, Adam and Sandy are regular guys just like you and me, with opinions of their own. I listened to Loveline for about eight years every night while working on the cars, so I knew what to expect with Adam, and I made sure that we kept on point with the Porsche 917 engine story. I listened to most of it tonight, and I'm surprised I didn't say anything stupid! It's unedited, of course.

Ha. I'm entertaining myself. I haven't even listened to it all the way through. Turned out pretty well - I didn't say anything too stupid apparently!

I am with Amir and Ed. It was an entertaining show, the 917/908 engine story was great. Thanks for doing it Wayne.
