Best size 17" wheels/tires for 88?pix?

Looking for a 2nd set of bigger wheels.
What max width/offset 17 inch wheels & tire sizes are optimal without rubbing for 88 Narrow body?

Thinking maybe BBS or others.... Suggestions & pix please..

I have 7 in wide in front, 8 in wide at the rear on 16 in dia. Fuchs, and I had rubbing issues. I had the fender lips rolled, which solved the problem. Suggest you have this done BEFORE you discover you have to roll the fenders.

Nice to see other '88s out there.

Why did yours rub when most these 17's aren't ? Is it stock height? Where did it rub?

Keep those pix coming.

Most of us w/ larger wheel 7 tire setups have modified fenders and oil line and soetimes trailing arm bolts to use them, ride height, suspension setup etc also affect fit.

these setups are mostly for tracked cars where the owners are willing to do some mods for better performance.

as I noted above, for street use, stay w/ 8ET 25-31 225/45x17 & 9 ~ET15 w/ 255/40 x17 tires for a pretty easy fitment
