 That number comes back as a 1977 3.0L engine.
	 |

 That should be a 911 Carrera 3,0 type 911/48 engine

 Thanks for the help!

 IS this the engine w/210 hp?

 *6670691*
	6 = Unit type 6-cylinder engine, 6 = Engine type 1977 models; Carrera, 3.0L, 200 hp, type 930/02. 7 = Model year 1977. 0691 = Consecutive serial number. Total 1932 built. 95x70.4 mm = 2994 cc. K-Jetronic (CIS) fuel injection. 200 hp @ 6000 rpm, 188 ft-lbs @ 4200 rpm. Best, Grady  |

 Get it.  I owned a 77 carrera and it was a phenomenal car.  I wish I hadn't sold it for a 3.2
	The 3.0 carrera engine didn't feel good until 4k RPM but man if you kept it spun up it was a blast to drive. If it is in an older light weight car you will always have your foot in the gas and a huge smile on your face. |

 The car is a '75 US-Spec 'S', it's non-matching in a good way. Now it's just a matter of getting a fair price. Thanks again.

 non-matching numbers engine

		Hello...curious if you are referring to a yellow '75 911 that was up for sale in Cincinnati, Ohio via ebay about 5 or so years ago? If so, I bought that car and it is sitting my garage awaiting restoration. The engine serial number is 6670691 and from quick research I did, I came up with the following:
	1977 Euro bore - 95mm stroke - 70.4mm hp - 200hp (DIN), 197 (SAE) @ 6,000 RPM Max RPM - 7,000 (redline) The car is a fairly straight non-sunroof coupe 911S with only a little rust in the frt fenders. The car has changed owners four times and has had three color changes, but no accidents. I noticed the 3.0 liter motor when it was advertised and just happened to be in the area...long story short, I made a quick trip down to see the car and pulled the numbers off the engine, researched them that night and bought the car with the intention of building a euro spec Carrera 3.0 clone. Thanks -T |

 Gonna throw this out to the world. The engine that came in my car originally is 6670430. Are you out there?
