Ignition switch question
When I start my car, the key does not return to the run position and the starter remains engaged on the flywheel. I can manually move the key from the start to run position and this corrects the problem. My question is, where is the spring mechanism located? Can I change the electrical part on the back of steering lock or does the entire assembly need to be replaced?

The spring mechanism is in the switch.
This switch is attached with 2 screws at the back of the steering lock assembly. |

Yes the electrical side of the switch can be replaced separately from the mechanical steering lock.
Edit: Holy cow, those are some cool Offys!!! I should take a drive down to Exeter to take a gander. |
