Does anyone one have any advice on what to check if break lights are not working?
I did check the fuse on the front fuse box and it looked good, I replaced it anyways but had no luck. All the other lights are working fine but all 3 break lights will not come on when break is engaged. I did notice the break light fuse also controls the cruise control but i have not had a chance to see if the cruise is still working. Any suggestions on what to check first? Thanks,

This is most likely tied to the pressure switch which activates the brake lights. They start getting weak and don't trigger the lights to come on. There are several threads here about how to replace them...not too hard a job but you'll need some patience to get them out and replaced. These are on the brake master cylinder in the trunk. Parts available from our host.

Yep, 2 switches, on Master Cylinder, price from Pelican is very good.
Replace them both. Do a search, posts and pictures here on Pelican on how to do it. They are not easy to access; lots of stuff in the way. |
