The casting # is 901 10110227
If there is a stamped #, my dad can't find it. I need to know weather this transmission is made for the early push style clutch, or the later pull style clutch. Thanks for the help! |

Push clutch. The pull clutches were 1970 and 1971 Type 911/01 transaxles, made with Magnesium cases.
Post a photo to confirm. ![]()

Thanks! Your earlier pictures helped me get my dad to the right location. He said that there wasn't a flat spot, or any punched in numbers on the bottom of the transaxle case. I asked him to look in the exact spot that you showed in an earlier picture.
the 901 XXXXXXXX number is the part #, right? If anybody knows anything about the number I posted, I would love to know more. Thanks! Dan |

You should really join the Early 911S Registry: Early 911S Registry Bulletin Board - Powered by vBulletin
It is for all early cars, not just Esses. There are many experts on that board who have loads of information specific to early cars. They should be able to help you easily. A 901... part number is a push clutch. If it is Magnesium, it is a 1969. If it is Aluminum, it is earlier. This is my understanding.
