Pomona Swapmeet

I am looking for more info on the Pomona swapmeet in Jan

Info like exact location, times, dates, admission prices.

Is this a Porsche only swapmeet?

I will be in town over the date that its supposed to be held and I would love to check it out.

Kelly

Get there REAL EARLY!!! Like take a flashlight early, and take something big to carry everything in.
I went to the January one a few years back and I ran out of hands to carry all my treasures!!! Like a baby in a candy shop I was!

i went down there last august. met wayne too. he apologized for the pitiful turnout related to porsche stuff. it really was pitiful. i didn't buy a thing. hopefully it's not always like that. it's a huge meet though. the vw group is well represented, as are 70s chevy and mustang. not much older stuff at all, and if you do find something it's pricey. some guy wanted $275 for a power seat switch to fit my 49 cadillac. you could get one anywhere else for $20. it was good to get out of town though. there's a sheraton hotel right next to the fairgrounds.

Unfortunately, you're right - the parts sections have really diminished in size & quality over the last few years. I still go about once or twice a year just for fun. You never know what you might find. I have definitely gotten some great buys there, but they are getting fewer and farther between!

I'm planning to bring the 914 out on the 13th (it's for sale.)

Not good to hear Pomona has lost some of it's attraction! The one I went to was 1994 (my how time flies!) and I had to limit what I bought (read: what my wife would allow me to stash in our combi van!!) If you searched amongst the crazy prices ($100 for a used 356 oil temp sender!) you could find bargains. $85 for an 11 blade alternator assembly was a bargain because they were going for around US$600 here then!
The whole attraction of a swap meet for me is to search out those bargains. Surely there must still be some there??
