I noticed something weird. I visited the forum at 9:21PM Tuesday, then came back late last night/early this morning around midnight. Now I logged on again and it says I have not been here since 9:21PM Tuesday. It gave me a new private message notification but it was for the same message I already replied to at midnight. The message I sent is not in my sent box, either. All the threads I read last night are marked as unread now.

What's going on? :eek::confused:

That's been happening to me for months. It's a browser thing I suspect. I just hit refresh every time I come to the site and it clears it out and updates me to "current".

For the past two mornings, I simply received a database error page when I visited any of the pelican forums. The rest of the site seemed to be OK but I didn't actually go to the store side which I'm sure is database drive too. The error page says the administrators were aware of the issue. Yesterday, it lasted until after lunch. Today, the forums were back about mid morning.

Well, 36 hours later, and we had one slow query on the main server, and only two or so on the search server. This was compared to about 150 over a 12 hour period on the single server. What this means is that for the past 36 hours, only three people saw a delay in response from the server that was greater than 10 seconds (and even then, the response time was 15 seconds).

I believe that I have solved at least any problems with the servers and actual CPU processing speed.

Six month checkup. Seems to be running well now. I have three servers running the forums now (as opposed to one, previously).

Thoughts?

Seems fine here in Louisiana... with the current web traffic getting close to its max it is really hard to get the speeds you used to!
I just updated to Firefox 4 beta so I'm still getting used to it,
