Anybody re-gear their 915 trans?

I am just curious if anybody has become fed up enough with the worthless 1st gear on their SC 915 to re-gear it for a longer pull?

Exactly how much slower are you trying to make your car?

And it sounds like youre running it up through till redline in 1st, so chances are that you WILL be changing some gears/synchros sooner than later.

I don't know about the particular car or use in this discussion but I have a Porsche Motorsports race trans in my 993 it comes w/ a 46mph 1st, I love it for track use, tall 1 allows for smaller rpm drops in the succeeding gears.

It probably isn't the thing to have in San Francisco or Pittsburg though

Sorry, you caught my post. I read the other thread about this and decided that I misunderstood the whole thing. Sorry for the deleted post.
