Oil on the exhaust system

Hello Everybody,

first of all: Happy New Year!

I found some oil stains on the (both sides) connection ducts of the exhaust sytem on my 911 2700 1974.
Above, apparently there are no components able to have oil leakages.
What can it be? Do you have any suggestion?

Thank you,

There is a tar soaked foam block aka STRAP per PAG 911 504 930 00, over time it will weap and leave that residue.

The other thing is, if Previous Owner placed sound pad on the engine side, the stick side which is most likely tar will melt and drip on to your heater tube or onto your gear box.

Most likely the Straps.

Happy New Year!
