another whale tale fix
Okay so i picked up a whale tale a couple weeks ago that had a couple small rubber cracks for cheap no knowing if i was going with the spoiler or not. Well wedsday i decided im going to go ahead and go with the spoiler so i was going to remove the rubber from the spoiler to fix it. Of course when i start taking the nuts off they start to break and i ended up breaking the majority of them off.
Ive read quite a few ways to fix it so im cutting all the old "mounting bolt supports" out and going to be making new ones. My question is what would be a acceptable adhesive to to use? Im kinda torn between using something like 3m window weld or something like liquid nails heavy duty. Any thoughts and or advice would be greatly appreciated. |

Like I mentioned I've read quite a few how-tos on it. I'm just asking for what would be the best solution for an adhesive. In some of the other fixes I've read quite a few different options were brought up.

there is a marine product called 5200 fast cure, it is very good stuff and will be stronger than the old rubber when cured. weather strip adhesive hasn't enough solid to it to hold when applied very thick. the 5200 black will do a good job for you.
good luck hope this helps. cheers ed
