I have always depended on the kindness

of strangers.

But, why be a stranger -

I just bought a 'new to me' '87 911 Targa. I have owned a '74 914 2.0 and a '78 911SC, but a while ago, along with many other varied and often 'weird' vehicles.

I am sure I will have dozens of questions - and I try to use the search function - but sometimes they just get overwhelming.

So, here is the the new addition to the family...

Congrats on the 911; you've come to the best place for a Porsche owner...I'd recommend getting Wayne's 101 Project's Book if you don't have it already

Foxpaws,
Welcome to The Forum
You will find a lot of help here.

911s need exercise.
Come on a little ‘tour’ Sunday with us.
West Denver to the Broadmor for brunch – by the back roads.

BTW, there is a RMR-PCA DE at HPR this weekend.
Fun to watch & meet Friday, Saturday and/or Sunday.
You do not have to register or pay anything.

Schuey - 101 Projects - wow - I was hoping for 1 or 2 maybe - smile...

Grady - the Broadmoor sounds like fun - but I have missed the cut-off date of 9/9 maybe next time. I plan on getting out to HPR - I have some friends (Dan Goodman and Dave Jobusch-part of SCR Performance who I can get to help me out), but, it might be next year - I was there last year and had a blast in a Spec3.

Tom, signed up for the Breakfast Club (this wouldn't involve Molly Ringwald or Anthony Micheal Hall would it?). Sounds like fun too, I am rather leery of 'rules' too...

Part of the reason I bought the Porsche was because I sort of miss the 'camaraderie' of an active car group. I had tons of fun with other Porsche owners years ago when I had the other cars. The Caddy (the little 911s garage mate) is a great car - but really doesn't have much of an owners club here in Colorado.

Welcome. Nice car. 1987 is a great year.
Hopefully you won't need a drip pan like the one under the Caddy.

Hugh - got it... thanks!

Por_sha 911 - actually the 911 does have a vinyl piece under it too - I don't take chances... The Caddy doesn't need it - nor does the Porsche, neither leak, but I am a play-it-safe sort of person.

Oh - best person saying Por_sha... Patrick Stewart... sort of wet dream good...
