Help. What is this for?
I'm working on the wiring on 1973.5 cis engine. Could someone tell me what this electronic item is for? This has an red and a brown wire attached.

Hello
Looks like a condensator. Can you tell me the colorcodes from the wire going to them ? Any readable stuff on the can ? If you are there then look if you can route the wires a bit different avoiding that they are under pull lod like a string. The part is to big for noise supression device |

Since it is old item, the letters are hard to read. The following is the thing I could barely read; ? is not ;
??? II A ??? 632 2290 MFD -10/+500? 40V -40 .. +850 EY 413/1 6.75a W GERMANY noise suppression device! Do I need it? Best Regards, |

It's a capacitor. So, it's a good guess it is for RFI suppression. Do you need it? Do you want to hear your radio?
