911 sc weights
Hello,
I have a 1980 911 sc and I have heard that some old 911's have lead weights in the front (not sure if this is true) and I was wondering if my car has them and if so sould i remove them

The early 911s had weights installed to help balance the car's handling but the SCs never did, at least not as a factory installed item.

I believe the weights were from the early mid '60's in reaction to end swapping. I am certain that you don't have them to remove on a 1980.

We've take three SC's down to bare tub and can confirm personally that there are NO such weights in any year of SC.
Well, unless you consider the a/c system weights - LOL! angela
