I think I have the wrong fuel tank for cis
I just removed my fuel tank that has been siting for many years. The car is a 75 and the engine is a 77 2.7 cis motor. I have included some pictures of the tank outlets. Looks like one of the fuel outlets is plugged with a 19mm plug. There is not a drain plug on the bottom of the tank ala cis tank. Can I use this tank or will I need a new/used cis tank? Thank you for any help.

Thank you. I guess I don't need the plastic baffles. Sweet no baffles to worry about when refinishing the tank.

Well.. yes and no. If you drive in a straight line, when at 1/8 tank or lower, you will do just fine (till you run out of gas ;-) ) . However , if you are in the twisties doing some spirited driving, the G forces will starve the fuel pump for gas, allowing the car to lose power, and shortening the life of the pump itself. The pump uses the fuel for cooling/ lubrication to some extent

+1; it will "work", but under about 1/3 tank (IMO) and turn left and it'll stall from the swishing. And every time you hear that sound of the fuel pump pushing air, take 500 miles off the life if your CIS pump.
