Guys I have been making these for some time now. I am a commercial artist by trade and have made one, two and three solid color decals, as well as covered entire trucks, vans, motorcycles and cars with 4-color process graphics on vinyl. I recently bought my own cutter for solid color pieces and have made custom airbrushed one-off pieces for several people. Some of my latest business has been with lowrider truck guys. The full color graphics can be costly, but I've done entire vans and trucks for customers such as P&G and Gillette. I'm talking about the ENTIRE full size van and trailer! I do those in Photoshop & the file sizes were about 500 megs for each side at 100 dpi! The solid color ones are relatively inexpensive and require vector (FreeHand or Illustrator files) art. I'm about to make a custom set for my 911 project. Using the premium vinyl they will last as long or longer than paint and have a very nice glossy finish. Since I'm also a Porsche nut, I'll trade out or give good deals to you BBS users. Just email me, adgx@centurytel.com, or call Alex 501-795-2101

What about Postscript files, generated from QuarkXPress or PageMaker files?

Postscript is OK. Maybe out of Pagemaker. Especially if you can save as an AI. I've not cut from Quark or Pagemaker yet. I'm not too sure about Quark. I just sent you a post saying that I'll replicate youy illustration. Simple to do. My cutter cuts 23" wide, but I can tile it for larger sizes. I'm replicating your illustration now. I work mostly in FreeHand, Illustrator and Photoshop.
