Help - Engine Reinstall 99% complete. What is this wire?

The engine has been out for 3 months. Can't figure out where this goes!!!!

Trying to finish tonight.

It has two prongs inside. Curved cover.

Jonathan

I believe thats the wire for the reverse lights that go to the front of the trans. Just above the front trans mount

I believe you're right, but how in the heck did it get way the heck up there near the air flow meter?

Confirmed! Thanks for the quick reply.

You should see where my oil lines were!

Getting close.

(Amateur hour in the garage tonight.)

I think when the engine was reinstalled it was assumed to go somewhere on the engine and just routed in the wrong direction. That wire is kinda long.

I would just partially drop the engine a tad and slip it back underneath
