Trans ID ??

Trying to figure out what trans this 911 has that I am working on. Stamped near the drain plug is: 77H00680 and on the side of the trans looks like a casting: KW ?/86. It has a 2 wire plug on the back which i will assume is for the speedometer. Any help would be greatly appreciated

7 = trans for 6 cylinder car
7 = 4-speed 911 Turbo
H = 1987
00680 = consecutive build number

Thank You Peter !! Exactly what I needed !! I am trying to find a speedometer transmitter for this trans and everything I have found looks nothing like what is in the trans now, there are some numbers on the transmitter but do not seem to correspond to anything. I am attaching a picture of what is left of the transmitter.

Should be a black, round plug, attached to the side of the diff housing. Its harness should go forward and disappear into the car's center tunnel, where it connects to the speedo harness.

Well the plug seems to be missing on this car, there is a hole on the passengers side of the diff right above and slighly behind the axle shaft. It is blocked off with what looks like a freeze out plug, wonder if the genius who installed this trans (it's a 1987 trans in a 1977 car and has no speedo in the dash at all.) removed the sender and blocked the hole off ? I can't see any where else where the sender might connect !

So it seems there is supposed to be nothing in the hole? Is it some kind of iinductive pickup? Forgive all the questions but this is my first time working on one of these !!
