Andial Engine ?

I'll be looking to get a new engine built for me sometime soon in so-cal. I'm think'n Andial would be a great choice with there great reputation and all. Do you guys know if they still build engines? I know they used too, but i know they have scaled back their operations a bit. I was also think'n Wayne at Vision Motorsports since he came from andial. I live in riverside so Vision would be closer for future servicing and other mods. It would be a 3.8 vram going into my 82' sc.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Call or email Andial and ask.
Leave a message for Dieter.
I suspect that in retirement they only tinker with very special race engines.
I last saw Dieter in the back of a 908.

I would contact Henry Schmidt in Fallbrook, CA as he's just down I-15 from you and he has a very good reputation...

AFAIK, and I talked with Dieter a year or so ago, they only sell some parts now. They may very well do some special projects in house. You could call as Grady suggests and ask where they might go for a rebuild as they are distributors on Mahle products.

Andial is no longer in business.

Try Aase Motors in Fullerton. 714-992-2283
Jeff Erickson and Alan Faragallah.
Alan is the 911 engine GOD for So.Cal!
All you have to do is see who has Aase Motors engines, and all of
the podium finishes they have in POC!

Yes, Asse Motors is a good place.

Patrick, Andial's website is up and running. As I said, they sell parts and do special projects.

Thanks for the info guys. I don't have a lot of post but i read A LOTS!!! So i definitely wont be going to MM. I wouldn't mind outsourcing my build, but i'd rather give my work to guys in California. but i have been looking at Rennsport in OR. Ive never heard of Aase but i look into it. Im wanting to build a 3.8 rs type engine to go into my 911sc.

Im also looking into Steve Timmons. Any thoughts on Vision Motorsports in OC. They've done a little maintenance for me from time to time but nothing HUGE. I know they race and Wayne is super nice. What ya think?

You can't go wrong with Jeff at Rothsport. They build some really nice engines and awesome fuel injection systems.

Welcome to Rothsport Racing

Thanks Britian
Did a quick search and the reviews are good but they are in OREGON!!!
Vision in Laguna or AASSE in fullerton are sounding like my pick.

Lots of great shops and people around listed: Andial (of course), Jerry Woods, Vision, Steve Weiner, Henry Schmidt, ...
Definitely no mistake picking any of them.

That said: One of the good things about Aase is they have kind of a pack of customers that do lots of racing (lots of POC) with lots of support at the track by Aase.
I suspect that the only way to get Andial to blink is to have a budget somewhere north of $60k and something special to boot. If I had the disposable budget I would probably lean towards Jerry Woods (but I don't!). At my level of $$$ if I didn't do it myself I would probably go Aase because some of my friends race in that loose group.
If I was looking to do this I would probably go to the track a few times and see who is providing the kind of trackside support I would want and see who was focusing on the type of engine I was going to run.
