Pimpster revisited?? (At the risk of being OT)

I am going out on a limb here.

Believe it or not, I ran across photos of my old "Pimpster" on the net. yes, they are apparently still going around.

I thought I might post them here again for everyones benifit...(new guys).
I guess it's really not all that off topic...considering there IS a Porsche crest on the hood.

Who wants to see the photos of the PIMPSTER again???

Well screw it... if Jack can post IMac spoofs... I can post Pimpster photos.

I sure wish I still had the page long narative on all of the Mods my highly skilled team and I performed on the car.

You know...the "We found during testing that Folgers exhaust systems made, upon average, 20% more hp. at the crank than a comparable Maxwell house system." ... That letter.

Anyway, here goes...

...Man I miss this car.

"Why spend all that money on a real NOS system when you can have a fire extinguisher "look alike" system for a fraction of the price!"

I'd like to take a moment to thank one of our best sponsors...

Folgers Intl. was absolutely great to us during our sucessful '99 season.

Notice the dents in the trunk from that friggin' wing actually "pushing" too hard on the trunk lid... it was almost impossible to steer at 70mph... the front was really light.

You actually drove this car Heh! I have heard stories about this but never knew it was this much of a Pimpster vehicle

Your 911 is surely an improvement over that, even though it is only a SC. =)

Leland:

That laid back passenger seat and NOS bottle are just what the bachelor guy needs for that late night oral surgery, or whatever...

I suspect some styling cues from pimpster will someday surface in SCWDP doctrine...

Be safe Leland!

Leland,

i posted the link to the Pimpster on the vwvortex a long time ago (like a year or so) and everyone thought it was one of the funniest things they ever saw.

maybe you should repost it over there? a lot of new people haven't seen it yet.

Lee:

Only a Real Man can expose his Folgers side, and you have indeed brought us to our knees with this realization of a dream, a dream many of us here have deep, deep inside ourselves, somewhere around the lower intestine.

I only wish I had my '76 Toyota Corolla SR5 in metallic Poop right now, today, so that I could beat hasty feet to the supermarket and grace that car's poop tube with the bounty that quietly sit in the coffee aisle. I share my inner thoughts with the stock clerk and we are of a like mind: go for the 10-pound can, baby!!

I still get a chuckle out of that car. I can only imagine people's reactions as they see it cruising down the street.

Lee, Thanks for the link to your webshots too! Uh, could you bring home a surplus Barrett .50 for me? Looks like it would make a fine elk hunting rifle. A bit more power and range than the 7mm Remington Magnum caliber rifle I now have? Just kidding..but thanks for the pics & get your skinny butt home in one piece! Paul

I'm speechless, as I was last time I saw it....
Remind me again, Leland, what happened to that fine vehicle?

Well, words cannot describe how much I miss that car.

You all might remember that ....um...the car had just a bit of an oil leak...about a quart every 10 miles or so. So, I had gotten in the habit of pulling over and dumping more fluid in it everytime it started to slip. On the way to work one morning, it started to slip sooner than usual... I was forced to pull into the McDonalds parking lot on Air Base Rd. and put more fluid in it. But as soon as I came to a stop the tranny started making a strange "whirring" sound for about 10 seconds then a loud POP, ...then ...nothing... no matter which gear I put it into...it made no difference. By the time i got out of the car there was a friggin' "pond" of transmission fluid all over the ground. I called one of my coworkers to come pick me up and left it there.
That day, I kept trying to find someone with a truck who wouldn't mind helping me tow it home. No luck...
As my "luck" would have it, I went on a Secret Service TDY the very next day. I was gone for two weeks or so, and when I came back home, the Pimpster was gone. Towed no doubt.
A month later I got a notice saying that my car had been towed and that I could pick it up at Brand X towing.
I just took them the title and signed her away...

I miss that little car.

Paul, I put a picture of your car on my Webshots page too.
I hope no one minds (Jack/Randy) it's just that every now and then I want to have a look at some of these great cars and hate searching around trying to find them.

Marks P-owners Gallery won't open because it's filtered... .

Oh, and a Barrett huh.... hmmmmmmmm...tall order... those things cost US over $8K a pop.

Without a doubt though...the LOUDEST weapon I've EVER fired.

Damn that US Government! Censored me again!

Hey, Lee, this isn' off-topic. I'm 200 proof sure that there was a Porsche logo on the hood of that car, and a Porsche script on the back, too, no?
