Fuchs in all black or traditional early 911 finish
This past weekend I purchased a set of 16x7 Fuchs with 225-50-16 tires at a swap meet. Before I restore them I thought an experiment would be in order. I masked and sprayed two of them with satin black paint.
I've seen some long hood cars with all black Fuchs and like the look, but not sure if it was going to be "right" for my car. Well here's the before and after comparison. The first photo shows the original 15x6 Fuchs with 205-60-15 tires. After looking at the photos I'm leaning toward a traditional polished finish with black accents on the 16x7 Fuchs. They will also get some new 205-55-16 tires mounted. What do you think? BTW, ignore the incorrect rocker panel covers. Those eye sores are coming off this winter when I do some body work on the 911. ![]()

I'd definitely go with the polished petals. It might work if you had black window trim/door handles. But with the chrome, you need to stick with the shine.

Depends on the look your going for. Black wheels is more racer style. Traditional is def much more "pretty"

Of course, I could change my mind and turn it all to chrome. . . Slippery slope. ![]() Great looking car, by the way.

Black pedals, polished lips. Classic look. All-black looks like your riding on 4 spare-tire rims.

i have always been a fan of polished. i dont like painted rims to match the car. but, that black on white does have a kida racey look. if your paint was not that nice i might say black, but your car looks very nice.
buy another set and paint them black. i built a 914-6, i had 2 tops, one was stock black and the other i painted white to match the car, i used the white on e most of the time.

Traditional Look!!!
Polish Petals for sure. Enough with the all black wheels already. If you keep the all black wheels you need to buy a Black Land Rover, DG Wrap Around Sunglasses, Lucky Jeans and a Ed Hardy T-Shirt (Todays Preppy)

Polished - it works better with the mirror and trim.

Anodized would look best, IMO, but polished works better than black...

My honest two cent's is I like the original a bit better.
Personally, I don't think I could pull the secound look off. That's just me. Then again it all depends on taste and prefference.

Yes, exactly. My thought would be anodized #1, polished #2, black #3.
