I'm looking to purchase new heat exchangers for my 77 911 and am curious as to what the difference (other than about $150) is btwn the SSI's and the Dansk SS heat exchangers. The 2 systems look identical. Most folks on this board talk about the SSI's with hardly a mention of the Dansk. Is there a performance difference??

I've read somewhere on this board, that the Dansks are available in larger diameters for motors such as the 3.6. If so, that would make them an advantage for the 3.2s and 3.6s.

I have bumped an old thread back up where I asked the same question a while back.

I installed the the SSIs on my former California '77 911s, and the units are a piece of artwork. The performance difference was incredible. It was like having a completely difference engine. In addition, when you buy SSIs, you can talk with John, who owns the company, and is one of the nicest, and most knowledgable people on 911 exhausts there is. I believe, but I might be wrong on this, that the stainless on the Dansk is not the grade of the SSIs, and that the SSIs are true equal length headers. For what it is worth.
