I'm doing this off of memory, so don't shoot me if I get it wrong... the contact on the parking brake handle for the idiot light on the dash?

Anyone,
I am still stumped. It should be be easy, comes out of the same hole as the gray/red and Brown/white (which go to the seat belts) there are already 2 wires going to the parking brake's underside.

This black with blue stripe wire has a very small female end on it

been there, still lost. black/blue wires seems to be for lighting. The only light I know of between the seats is the auto heat dial, but that is lighting up.

Thanks

Hi,

On my 77S there is a small plastic piece just in front of the heat levers on the tunnel that says " Defrost On, Off" that lights up and has the blue black wire. I don't have Auto Heat, so mine might be different.

That wire is for the little square defrost light that goes next to the e brake handle. You can see the light without the cover in the previous picture.

That may explain it. I have auto heat. There is no Defroster on/off light. It must be a wire not used. The wiring diagram showed one wire going to no where.

Mystery solved ,I think.

Thanks
