So last night I saw a little blurb in the current issue that was titled 'quick way to remove your windscreen' or something like that.
They have a picture of a nylon cord being inserted behind the windshield trim on the interior. The text says to insert the cord or rope all the way around the window and then simply "push it out". They say that it is the quick and easy way to do it without worrying about breaking the glass. Is that true? Anyone here ever try doing it that way? Seems odd to me. ------------------ Clint 73T mfi coupe |

That's pretty much SOP in installing a windshield, not in removing it. It helps you bring the rubber seal's lip around the way you need it. Check the Pelican Tech articles for a more complete explanation.

There is no real easy way to remove the windscreen, but I do agree that you should try to save the seal when you remove it...
