loose connection id on '82 SC

I was replacing the fuel accumulator and noted some kind of disconnected electrical connection just below the fuel filter/accumulator. In the Pelican tech info center (basics part) instruction for replacing the fuel filter/accum, figure 1 shows the male connection side. Anyone know what it is?? Thanks

That is the connector the O2 sensor plugs into. O2 wire will come in from the sheet metal on the left side - just look lower. Maybe a one inch hole in the sheet metal if the wire and grommet are missing

Thanks Bob -- Just wondering what it was as the SC was running just fine without it being connected.

They can run ok without but while cruising your gas mileage may suffer a bit and a richer mixture can impact your cat over time.
