They got smart, only 356 made. The last Speedster they offered sold slowly. Of course everyone that WAS bought got stored and/or every weenie that owns one thinks it's worth a mint judging from the asking price when they want to sell it.....

Instant classic....I personally like ragtops, don't get me wrong, they just don't sell well when new.

Doesn't work aesthetically for me like the prior speedsters. A little too much going on visually with the aero...

The back of the 996 and 997 Cabs (top up or down) doesn't look right to my eye.

But, if they put a GT3 or Turbo motor in it I wouldn't care too much what it looked like.

Ugly. Redundant. Overpriced. I'm sorry, but why bother? Oh yeah, to feed the egos of rich men who "wouldn't be caught dead in a Boxster".

Did I mention it was ugly?!?

I like the color and the idea of a new speedster but the overall look is a let down. The price is a huge let down. I think the '89 and 964 speedsters were much better looking! For the money, I'd rather have that lightweight boxster with a brown paper bag on the passenger seat containing $200,000!!!

I like the stone guards... kind of a neat touch. But they should really just make that the standard 911 engine and forget about all these special editions.

The car has got angles, the pic above looks like a hunchback.

Pics on the link look great though but the price $265k! is absurd

Hi,

Apparently they "forgot" that the original speedsters were actually cheaper stripped down versions of the normal cars!

I like the car, the wheels and the look. BUT $265,000 and no MANUAL transmission.

Soon there will be no manuals left....

It is no speedster, just a glorified cab. The lines of the back end of the car just don't work. They would have needed to modify the rear decklid to make it work. The original speedster was not just a 356 cab with a cowl added on. This is an aftermarket level design move.
