Recaro C Headrest speaker Wires?
I picked up a zoomy Recaro C seat that has the headrest mounted speakers. Does anyone know what the color codes are for the speakers? The headrest harness has 1 each red/yellow/green/black.
Anyone running these? Anyone remember the 80's? ;-) Mark

I have classic C's without the speaker option.....had a red and black wire for the power/heat functions (red is hot).
good way to check is a 9v battery, the speaker should click, you won't harm anything....turn the seat heater switch on, it should light up faintly with 9v when you give power to that circuit....when you have the speaker circuit, the drivers hould move forward when you have polarity correct. Lewis

Thanks Lewis,
All the seat functions (heat, recline, lumbar pump) work fine. There is a seperate 4 wire harness going to the headrest. I wish I could see the speakers then the 9v trick would work. I can probably figure out which 2 go to which speaker by trial and error and mabye guess the polarity by then measuring series and parallel groupings...I was just hoping there was a Blaupunkt or Alpine "standard" color code that Recaro had adopted... 2 speakers, right? that's 4 wires...easy enough....to gauge polarity, hook up to music, if percieved quantity of bass increases as you balance towards left or right (away from center) you have the polarity of one speaker off....more than that, I dunno without seeing the headrest/seat, etc
