Good Wiring Question

Does anyone know where this wire goes to???

In the lower right section of this wiring digram(lower left if you rotate it properly)... http://members.rennlist.com/911pcars/L57.pdf ...there is a label of "Heizung"(heater)

In my 1968 911L, where would it go to. At the moment I have one wire that is unaccounted for in the front by the fuse panel, and it seems to go back with all the other wires that are the rear end signals. Yet I cannot find where it comes out, or where it is supposed to come out.

Can anyone shed some light on it?

Thanks
Brad

and if I don't have the webasto heater where would it terminate?

I just want to make sure that there are no errant wires dangling about back there?

On a 1968 911L USA, I think there is the fresh air blower standard with the heater optional. Without the heater, I suspect the wire powers the blower.

Post some images of the heater compartment.

Best,
Grady

there is definitely no heater, as the car is still pretty empty.
I guess what I am asking, is where(under normal circumstances) should that wire end up.
Front drivers, front passenger, rear trunk drivers, etc....you get it.
Thanks again.

I believe that'd be the smugglers box.

looked in there, but all that is there is the battery and it's proper wires. I guess if I can't find it, the best thing to do would be to leave it off of the fuse panel just in case. I would just so love to find the other end, as I could maybe use it to power a rear defrost window upgrade I am planning.
