83 SC power window track/regulator issue

My drivers side window slipped of the lower track/cradle, and the track fell off. I removed the door panel and reassembled everything. The window was moving up and down smoothly, so I put the door panel back on and went for a short ride. When I went to lower the window, it again fell off the track, and the track fell out . Am I missing a clip that stops the wheels on the track, or should I glue the window in the track?

Glue the window into the bracket. I had the same problem years ago. I simply used some fish tank silicone, closed the window completely and kept it closed for 24 hours or so. It stinks so do it in a well ventilated area and roll your PS window down if possible while it dries.
Any adhesive would probably work but I thought this would adhere to glass the best.

I found that a little bit of light oil in the tracks of the window frame helps it glide better.

Is this an issue of the rollers coming out of the track, or the window separating from the track?

Thanks for the quick replies. When I lower the window, the track falls off the rollers and drops to the bottom of the door. I'm not sure if it's because the window isn't glued to the track, or if the track is missing a stopping mechanism.

I would say both are the problem. Glue the window back into the cradle thingy and check the bottom of the door for the track stops. I know they exist and are adjustable.
