Thanks for the suggestion. It is for a 77 so I really want the polished finish and vintage look to match the window trim.

Does anyone know what exact brand of mirror was used that covered the existing holes?

I also do not like the power flag mirrors that were standard on my ‘83 SC and should have removed them two years ago when I did a complete repaint. Anyone have good pictures of the mirrors removed with a ruler showing the spread of the holes that need to be covered by a base for smaller manual mirrors

Google porsche 935 mirrors. I think these are the mirrors SC's should have come out of the factory with.

The ONLY plug and play option on the market is the one from ÄCHTUNGKRAFT
they designe a Talbot-Oldschool looking Mirror having a Flag-mirror base to fit G-model door bores. the pair though is USD 550 if I recall correctly https://achtungkraft.com/collections/exclusive-parts/products/aluminum-bullet-mirror-911-1975-1988-flag-mount-pre-order the other option (DIY) is, get some cheap flag mirrors, seperate the base, optionalle smoothe/grind bases into new homogene shape and mount Vitaloni Sebring mirrors on top https://up.picr.de/39911116au.jpeg https://up.picr.de/39911117zb.jpeg https://up.picr.de/39911119bf.jpeg |
I'm more interested in a Durant style mirror that will cover all of the holes.. once I drill the 2 new ones required to mount the Durant. Do all Durant styles cover the four holes or is there one in particular that has a bit larger base?
