Recommend me a Muffler
Anyone advise me on a muffler to match the Headers in the pic... it's for my 3.0 SC Twin Spark Race Car... only stipulation is it must be 105db or under, measured from 1 meter away at a 45 degree angle and around 4500rpm... any options out there?

I think the Muffler in the pic is a Dansk for an early 911, not sure if this would work well in conjunction with my high HP motor let alone meet noise requirements

How restrictive are the Supertrapps?... do they give good performance?

Just spoke with my tuner, he said they work well for noise etc, but they will strangle the motors performance

I was sold the headers only, not the muffler... I think that particular muffler is a 50mm Twin out originally built for a 2.7 (I think!!!)... will this be good enough for a 3.0 SC Twin Plug that puts out near on 280bhp?... I don't really know, maybe it might choke a bit

Is the M&K 2 in 2 out overly loud?... how would you rate it?

The shop that built my motor uses flowmasters and magnaflows in a 2-in, 2-out configuration. The engine made good power on the dyno and the sound is perfect (not too loud and it doesn't drone).

It's been proven that the two best mufflers are the sport muffler as above or the stock muffler. Try one of sycip's mufflers for the best of both worlds. You can cap the 2 central outlets or vice versa. It's over a thousand though.

if you are concerned with sound, go with the oem, its a good price and I havent heard anyone complain about the noise. quiet mufflers and performance tend to not play well with one another

OEM will be the best compromise of sound and performance in my experience.
