Porsche Parts new additions

I don't know how many get e-mails from the Porsche factory.
I got some updates yesterday and a link to some new manufactured antique parts.

I is nice to see them reintroducing new parts for our older cars.

Now if only they would also upload the early repair manuals (Vols 1&2 for 65--71 and Vols 1-4 for 72-83) for use by us that would be great!

Did you check the prices though!
911 center reflector 611,73 Euro's = about 837.00+ US.
What do you think it will be by the time it's state side after you order through your local Porsche dealer.
Porsche see's the value in selling parts to those of us who have older cars.

How are these any differrent from the parts we might be able to eventually get here or at the local dealer parts counter? I hope "Classic" doesn't automatically mean "more expensive". Will the sticker on the package say "Porsche Genuine Part" or "Porsche Classic Part"?

Porsche parts addition

I seen the prices and yes they are steep, but I also know they will not sell thousands of it and with that in mind it will be limited production runs.
Tooling and set up is expensive.
But let's be happy, Porsche seen hat there is a need and they responded.

Interesting to see they're offering 915 gearshift knobs for 1975-77 911 Ts. Also had no idea the black air intake grille was correct for 1970. What were they thinking when they put an anodized one on mine?

lessee....about $800 ( at current exchange rates) for the plastic strip that fits between the tail-lights.

Ya know...I've said it before....some Porsche stuff is built to higher standards and maybe you can partially "See" and semi-justify where the money goes... ( think..."oil pump")...but ferchrisakes this is a freakin piece of plastic for $800. And they keep a "straight" face asking for this ?....c'mon.

I'm in complete aggreement Will!
Porsche/Bosch more than likely did no re-tooling, dusted off cob webs instead. My 1978's plastic is far better quality then the plastic on my wife's new Jetta and Bosch makes all those parts.
They saw a market with LARGE profit margin.

But if your a "price is no object" person.

Will keep me looking for the deals here though!

Wil, I don't know how to sign up. I assume I am getting it as Porsche has my e-mail contact from our executive list. I am the treasurer for our local PCA region.
I get all kind of e-mails from them, which other members are not getting.
