Rear window install, anyone did one themselves
I bought the OEM rear window seal from our wonderful host. I am going to have someone install it for a measly $75. Looks like a royal pain to install due to the defroster wires I know there are people here that can do it blind folded and in ten minutes.
Now the seal has no holes for the wires. Is that a big deal for the installer to make. http://i147.photobucket.com/albums/r...7/95373a09.jpg http://i147.photobucket.com/albums/r...7/18f09ad9.jpg |
Make sure to clean up that rust before you put the new seal in.

follow up, installer got it done , even for him it was pain.
|
did you address the rust that was in the lip ??
|
Yes, Fixed the surface rust. Looked worse in the pictures

I did this with a targa top seal. Use the original as a guide and replicate the holes and notches. Nothing fancy about it - just the fear of effing it up and molesting a brand new part.
Edit - sorry - did not see you had it finished. |
