Strut Tower Brace Recommendations

I'm looking to add a strut tower brace to my ' 73 911. Any recommendations ? Elephant Racing, Weltmeister, Rennline ??
Thanks in advance.

I recommend Rebel Racing. He can do a bar between the monoball mounts, a bar between RSR shock tower brackets, and can add a triangulation bar. He also has the monoballs.

The bar is adjustable with threaded heim joint ends and is made of Aluminum. (tapered-ended tube)

I'm using a Weltmeister on my 89,although one of the mounting brackets developped a crack and the good people at Weltmeister said sorry sir,it's been over one year and all we can do for you is sell you another one at full price !

Something to think about ...

Cheers !

Our goal was to develop the killer strut brace, the one we wanted on our own cars. We started with a clean sheet of paper and sketched out a list of attributes that describes the ultimate brace:

- Upgradable from single bar to 935 X brace
- Quick release, tool-less removal
- Tool-less adjustment
- Lightweight
- Fit with any camberplate
- Awesome appearance

Then we set about to build it. We came up with the QuickChange strut brace. I'll admit to being pleased with the result Available from Pelican, here

I have the Elephant single strut brace and love it. Once snugged in, you can pull the pin to remove the bar in two seconds. Here are some pics:

I'm running a triangulated from Elephant as well, but not the quick release. I like it.

Here's another picture of the Elephant brace with the mounting hardware in the open.

Is a front end realignment necessary after removing the tower bolts to install the brace mounts? I see that some utilize all three bolts, some just the back two, and some only the single front bolt - is this just a design choice or are there other considerations?

You don't have to do an alignment when installing the Elephant. Its brackets just use the back bolts, so as long as you don't loosen the front bolt you're good to go.

Beat me to the single bar pics. Those are some good photos of it.

You don't need to re-align the car after installing the brace brackets that attach to two bolts. As long as you keep the third one torqued down, you won't lose the alignment.

edit - Craig beat me to the answer too

Thanks for the info, I will look into that... I was wondering why would you want to quickly remove the brace? Is there any driveability reason or just to be able to put more stuff in there?
Thanks
David

Thanks, I was seeing that and was wondering if it had an effect on driveability and that would be why one would want to be able to remove it quickly, but that's a good enough reason for the quick release.

Elephant Racing bar for me. Nice, simple, and lightweight. Although, based on the above post from Chuck at ERP, I must have his old style bar.

I guess this is a elephant racing thread, but thought I would throw in that I have the rennline bar which is pretty cool as well.
