Hi all,
I'm in the middle of removing my alternator and a cannot get the alternator/fan off of the housing. I have removed the 6 nuts surrounding the alternator. I banged on all 6 bolts and the alternator/fan will not come off. Am I missing something? Thanks in advance, Ruben |

Remove the fan nut and then the fan (it will come off just by rocking usually). Once the fan is off find yourself a piece of 4 x 1 (approx) timber large enough to fit across the housing. Drill a clearance hole for the alternator shaft in the centre of the wood, place it over the shaft, refit the nut and tighten - this will pull the alternator out of the housing. Good Luck Roy |
