Storage of my 911
I have a 1987 911 that is going in the garage for the winter. I do not have a trickle charger on the car. Any advise for storing it. Should i disconnect the battery or just start it every few weeks in the garage.
Thanks |

You can use Stabil in the tank. Make sure you take it out for a drive after adding it so it can mix with the fuel. Most don't recommend just starting the car and letting it sit. It builds moisture (I think). A charger is a good investment to keep your battery charged for the winter. I'm sure others here will chime in with other advise as well. I seem to remember something about tire pressure as well.
Thanks, Chris

I agree with wolf76 about not starting the engine every two weeks. That would cause it to collect moisture thru condensation. The moisture would get in the oil and cause trouble. Also you might want to get those tires off the concrete floor. They will flat spot and collect moisture from the concrete. You can put the car on jack stands, or a set of dollies, or just park it on a sheet of plastic film. Roll it a couple of feet once in a while so the tires won't flat spot. Also, some people like to increase the tire pressure for the same reason.
