Leaky windshield question.

Mine leaks at the lower corners like a lot of others have mentioned.
Question is, is the leak typically between the windshield and seal or the body and seal?
I assume the body and seal?

Most likely between the body and seal. I can only tell you, you should get on it ASAP to remove the windshield, find out the damage, and fix it. I had a '72 that leaked on the driver side when it rained. When I took out the windshield, I found the metal forming the windshield frame in that corner and the metal under the dash pad badly rusted out. It most likely started long before I bought it, and the PO(s) didn't do anything about it. Of course I didn't find out until I drove it in the rain - one of the few times I did.

I just did a new seal in my '86 Carrera, no more leaks. I did use a little bit of plumber's putty in one of the upper corners to keep the seal lip from collapsing into the frame. It is a soft putty that never hardens. It is the cheap version of the stuff Porsche used on OEM installs. This is a relatively easy project, biggest issue is always cleaning out the crud that is in the frame, and any sealant that the last moron used.
