Top Gear Autoworks In Minneapolis
Has anybody used these guys:
Top Gear Autoworks As a Porsche, Land Rover and Triumph owner, it seems like they might be a good resource. ~Max

I've lived in Minnesota since the dinosaurs roamed here and owned Porsches since 1980, yet haven't heard about these guys. That doesn't mean they aren't good, of course.
Still, if I want my 930 wrenched I take it to a technician who works mainly on Porsches. Why? Because Porsches, especially the air-cooled, rear-engine types, are mechanically different from most other cars and require knowledge only gained from working on Porsches over time. Here in Minnesota we are lucky to have some experienced and capable Porsche shops. The two I've used are Auto Edge, which works mainly on Porsches and has an excellent reputation; and, FlatSix, which only works on Porsches, and mainly the air-cooled variety. Just my two cents worth. |

Quite awhile back I worked with Dave, the guy pictured on the website, at Carousel on the audi side. It is my understanding that he worked at Ferrari of Denver for awhile and also as an Italian car wrench at Donnybrooke. Not sure what p-car experience he has.
I bring my stuff to Rick Moe at Nurburgring Inc. |

Their website seems to make a lot of shouty claims...I'm always concerned by folks making a lot of shouty claims. I'd visit before making an appointment for work.
