The Line Starts Here... Rauh Welt In America
Freedom, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness the Rauh-Welt way. RWB is now Red, White and Blue.
I know many of us have waited a very long time for this to materialize, so here it is... Who wants to join me in being the first to have an AUTHENTIC Rauh-Welt car in North America, built by the legendary Japanese tuner Nakai-san? Years in the works, I have finally convinced Akira Nakai to come to the USA to do my car and several others. If you look at the official Rauh-Welt blog,(RWB) you will see my slate grey RUF RCT EVO powered 964 cab with the 993 top, as an upcoming project. Who else wants to live the RWB dream and take his own car to the consummate height of Porsche styling? This is your only opportunity to have a chance to possess one of the most exclusive Porsches on the planet, created by one of the most reclusive and talented Porsche tuners in the world. Not for the faint of heart, nor shallow pockets. Pm me for further details or any questions. ![]() Last edited by Scotte; 11-02-2010 at 03:27 AM.. |

Rauh Welt inspired me to buy my car, and I'll be building a Rauh Welt inspired 911.
Nakai has said he'd travel abroad to work on customer cars, so it's nice to see he is coming to the states. Last edited by 5:04; 11-02-2010 at 10:17 AM.. |

Rauh Welt stuff is very cool... but I don't see it as anything that hasn't been done, or that you can't get in the states.
We've got all kinds body kits & fabricators to customize the intstalls right here in country... and some of the best engine builders in world hang out and post right here on Pelican, so I'm not quite understanding the hype. Not trying to poo-poo RW as I think thier style is pretty cool too, but I'm just say'n..

I'm scratching my head as well. Exactly what is he coming here to do? Install fiberglass fenders? There must be more to it.
It's just a matter of time before someone here in the states pruduces fiberglass parts that look similar to that design. If there was enough interest in it I'd do it myself. You'd have to sell a lot of kits to make it worth while to produce.

I'm kind of partial to this front bumper, made right here in the USA.

The appeal of Rauh Welt isn't that it is a body kit company. What really impresses me about Rauh Welt is the balance of their cars. Often they're seen as a body shop, but they're much more than that. Although they're known for their body work since that is what they do they do build awesome cars, they just outsource a lot of the work. They have their own suspension (which is made for them), work closely with Promodet who builds almost all of the Rauh Welt engines, SSR who makes their wheels, and I believe all of their carbed cars run PMO's. Almost all of his cars see the track and are built for it.
Nakai San's personal car is NA and runs 58's at Tsukuba. To give you an idea I think it's a second or less off of the NA track record which is in the 57's by an s2000 and Nakai's car is Driven to and from the track. How many tuners can say that. How many tuners/shops can show a turn out like this ![]() EVENT>> IDLERS GAMES TSUKUBA - PT.1 - Speedhunters EVENT>> IDLERS GAMES TSUKUBA - PT2 - Speedhunters Lindy- These colors don't run lol Please don't take this as an insult Lindy, but it's a far cry to compare that off the shelf bumper to the Rauh Welt front bumpers posted. The fit and finish is leagues ahead, maybe adding an oil cooler or mesh to the front could help finish it. Last edited by 5:04; 11-02-2010 at 02:29 PM.. |

No offense taken; not sure about the "colors don't run" comment though. Maybe you're referring to the reflection of the drive-way expansion joint in the bumper? I happen to like the look of the TRE better than the stuff in your post, but that's just MY opinion and I hope I didn't insult you. Jerry Woods is building my cooler; taking my time with my project.
For the record, my TRE piece fit perfectly with zero manipulation, trimming or whatever. Lindy |

I love RWB stuff, but it's kinda like having chip foose fly to japan. Not poo-poo'ing either. My build started out inspired by a 964 done by Nakai.
I can't wait to see photos.. Best of luck and enjoy! Chris |

Where in the USA is he coming too? If he is in the Bay Area I'd like to stop in and see his work and talk to him about tuning my Boxster.

I've heard that the TRE fg pieces have a great fit and finish so I'm not trying to talk down on their product. Especially since I've been looking through their products for my car. However a lot of fg bumpers have an aftermarket look to them as opposed to looking like it came from the factory that way and I've yet to see many aftermarket bumpers on Porsches that have that same finish and look to them including tre. |

That's a nice spoiler for a 911 but won't work on a 964
