993 conversion/ update/ project

Hey all,
I've got a 911 sc 1981 with a 993 body on it.
Just wondering how many people out there have a car like this. Would be good to post some photos and compare.

does anyone have an 993 RSR conversion?

Looking forward to seeing pics

chris

Does a real 993, RSR clone count? Here is my old car which could be visually replicated with your '81 given enough money. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1290043416.jpg

Sorry but I can only come close with my 964 type RSR conversion. ;)

I'm in the middle of a 993 conversion of my 1973 911. I'm aiming for the "normal" 993 look. Not turbo or RSR or anything like that.

Using fiberglas front bumper and fenders.
Original 993 rear fenders, bumper, mirrors and decklid.
Bolt on spacers with BMW (5x120) boltpatern and BMW wheels.
Side skirts are still missing.

Right now I'm repairing some rust and preparing the rear fenders to be welded.

Perhaps I can find some pictures and post them later.

Plus 1 on that. Mine started out as a completely gutted 912e tub, so I had no problems turning it into the ground pounder it is today. Having said that if it were a longhood of any type (912 included) I wouldn't even consider such a thing. Just hang out on the forum a little longer and you'll soon figure the whole long hood deal at which point you will be thankful you avoided making a huge mistake. ;)
