350 hp from a single plug 3.4? Calling BS on that

Sweet car no doubt, but unless i am cross-eyed, looks like a single plug motor. Even with twin plug, can anyone crack 300hp with a 3.4?

Why would someone go to all that work and then mate an RS front splitter with RSR fenders??? Doesnt even fit well

Not going to comment on the engine HP (he says twin-plug, I see six on the distributor) but the stance, color, wheels, are AWESOME!

On race engines they are getting 120 hp per liter naturally aspirated. Probably not the case here though, but a nice looking car nonetheless.

Our 3.4 made 275 at the wheels with a relatively mild cam all things considered...

I like the look of that car!

300+ BHP is very possible with a single-plug 3.4. It simply takes the proper engine components and 110-112 octane race gas to do the job. I won't comment on the engine in that car without hard data about its configuration.

The text says "dual plug heads", the distributor looks otherwise. Maybe the heads are dual plug - just not hooked up.

I don't like the fab details on the car - cutting checks sometimes isn't enough - you have to be in there too or only farm out to the best.

it is very possible - if somebody got down to 1,600 lbs. then I'd like to know how (with a 911 motor)

hmmmm....

doors, bumpers, front fenders, and hood = FG
rear quarter windows are lexan

no doors at all, save 120 lb. - add back wt. for 2 FG doors
FG F spoiler, save 5 lb.
FG R bumpers, save 39 lb.
FG F hood, save 20 lb.
F fenders, save 22 lb.
no R vent windows at all, save 8.5 lb. - add back wt. for 2 FG panels
TOTAL = 216 lb. or less in wt. savings

so.... 1,986 + 216 = a starting wt. of 2,200 lb.

he didn't seem to mention a FG R deck lid, maybe he neglected some items, esp. since he has big fat heavy wheels on the car

if his car does NOT weigh that amt. then he has made a very serious error and might be forced to refund the $$ by an angry seller

He is way underwater on this car - it shows what happens when you pay for labor and then have to sell a car

I wish him luck tho

+1

Nothing against the car, which is fantastic looking, just tired of the blantant hyperbole which seems rampant on ebay these days.

Looks great but it's definitely single plug.

Another question for the gurus... Is it possible to get 350HP on Carbs?

my sentiments exactly...if I had over "$100,000 invested" I don't think I would run the risk of losing that much money on a car...worse case scenario no one else bids, car is "legitimate" and it only goes for what is at now...around 11,000.

OUCH!!!

I don't think so!

My buddy has a 3.4 with twin plugs and itbs. His car has 320 at the crank horsepower. Not sure what that is at the wheels.

I believe that on ITBs and EFI but carbs? I doubt it.

My pet peeve is the folks who throw out numbers like that without any proof - or even worse - estimated at 350 hp after spending $30K on an engine rebuild. Seriously - you laid down all that jack and you didn't dyno tune it?

It's a good looking car - but I would have been pissed if my front bumper fitment came back from the shop like that.

What worries me the most is this from the ad...

"... all the good stuff including twin plug heads."

Clearly not true... You'd think if someone spent over $100,000 building a car they would get that detail right in the ad.

Defiantly a nice looking car in the ad but something is fishy big time.
