Has anyone used motor meister?

Well after much deliberation as to how to go about my rebuild and what or how much to do, I have found this site and they seem to have a pretty good deal going for the do it yourselfer.
I was wondering if you guys had any experience with these guys and if you would recommend them.

Any comments are appreciated, I know I can count on you guys for the absolute unbiased skinny!

Thanks! Norm...

Actually, Motormeisters biggest proponents have been the do-it-yourselfers who use the place as a source for parts. That said, there have also been a very large number of people with negative experiences in dealing with MM. Do a search.

Wink

Norm...IMHO, forget about a good deal. Make sure you are getting your $$$$ worth. 911 engines are jewelry, period.

wow thanks guys! I am sorry about all the people that got burned and were brave enough to tell about it on the board.

I too, have been burned by other unscrupulous merchants who are self proclaimed "Experts". I certainly would not want to make such a costly mistake with my SC, I cant be thankful enough to Wayne for maintaining this board and for everyone on here who freely imparts their wisdom and technical advice. It's easy to see why so many good people are found here.

Now I must continue to seek out the best course of action and source for a decent and honest rebuilder or at the very least someone who will offer a packaged kit so I can enjoy doing it "MYSELF".

Thanks again to all who responded.

Norm

Norm, why don't you just drive it around as it is (if it's smoking a bit don't worry it's only the people behind you ), then buy Waynes Engine Rebuild book when it comes out. Plus wayne will have all the bits you need as well. Bill '79SC
