911 in new rollerball movie

Has anyone seen a sneak preview of this movie?
I saw a 911 turning gas into noise in the trailer but my ****ty realplayer wouldn't let me make out what the movie is all about?

Norm wondering??

What I've often wondered? Why is it that 911's and other P cars often appear in the B (and lower) grade movies, but not so often in the good ones? Maybe Jack could give some insight here...

Ican't think of a better way to create hype for your low budget movie and get butts in the seats, than to feature the hottest most recognizable sports car on the planet.

Simple answer: money. You get the production to lease your own car from you for thousands of dollars a day. Or the production company can buy it, outright. It's easier to get away with on lower-budget films, since the production companies tend to appear and disappear very quickly. The major studios are a little more wise to those kinds of tricks, though. One of the producers from "Natural Born Killers" wanted a Hemi Challenger (or was it a Charger? I can't remember), so she had the screenwriter write that model of car into the script, knowing that she (as the producer) would have first crack at buying it (for pennies on the dollar) when filming was done. It worked, but the studio wouldn't spring for the actual Hemi model. They said that people watching the movie wouldn't notice fake badging. The producer really couldn't argue with that. She's still got the car, fake badging and all.

Talking

Who has seen the ad for the new movie: "Birthday Girl". Staring Nicole Kidman. I am sure I saw an early 911 in orange - I think.

Maybe it was the Becks....
