After market gears for 915 trans
Any comments on the aftermarket gear sets for the 915. Such as brand preference, longgevity quality.
I am looking at GT and ECI brands. Any others I should be looking at? Also any opinions on GT vs Quaife LSD units. Thanks Chris Last edited by cwood; 01-27-2002 at 11:06 PM.. |

There was a guy selling a 915 with a 7:31 ring and pinion and custom closer-ratio gears for 2-5, he claimed, with 5th gear redlining at something like 120 mph. It would be great for a short track car, I'd think. If you have a 3.0 or smaller engine, it would really make it feel like a different car.
I have Guard (GT) gears and a GT limited slip in my transaxle. I've only heard good things about these components.
