Thank you. I really like the color combo myself as well. Getting into these cars I kept looking at silver telling myself that was my favorite color on them. As time went on, I kept getting sucked into the red ones. Funny how that happened.

Yeah, right...

I should clarify. My fun car up until now is a '94 Toyota Supra twin-turbo. It's a beast with ~450 hp. I have spent so much time making it my perfect car. That's a big reason I bought the porsche. I want it stock, and I will be leaving it that way. I have a car to tinker with. The porsche will get regular maintenance, and repairs only. I hereby solemnly swear. :)

You're going to have a lot of fun with it......wish I had a clean red SC.....

Thank you! I plan on driving it quite a bit. I'm really excited for warmer weather to come around. There's about 2 ft of snow outside the hangar it's stored in now.

I can't take credit for this one. That space is technically my father's who has been a pilot for over 30 years. He now shares it with myself and my mother, my brother, and two step-brothers. It's become a big toy hangar now!

Good luck not slipping down the slope of making it absolutely perfect!
CATTMAN

I agree! In pictures, it is nearly perfect! The paint is actually a little rough in person. It's definitely in need of some TLC. When I get a little time I'm going to polish, and wax it up as nice as I can. It won't need a repaint for some time, but it's definitely seen its' 79k miles. The interior is pretty much perfect, though, and you're right: It will be hard to keep from that slippery slope. I will do my best. As I mentioned above, my fun car is a Supra twin-turbo. That car has been my OCD fix for years now. It's in perfect show condition with not so much as a single rock chip or flaw anywhere. The biggest reason I bought the porsche was to have something I could guiltlessly drive for fun, and not be a perfectionist with. I am going to do my damndest from not making this into another garage queen! Thank you for the compliments!

Fantastic car! Don't worry, your bug for a Porsche 911 will only last about 30 years or so. Nick

That's what everyone keeps telling me. Shouldn't be a bad 30 years ;-) Thanks!

Thank you! The carrera 4 is my father's. Undercover is an e46 m3, which is my mother's. She also owns a new e92, which is kept at home. I recently sold her z4 m coupe for her. Catching what brand she likes? Not pictured is my father's mercedes and my supra which are in another corner under covers. We are definitely a car family. And a german car family, save the supra.

Beautiful car. That's exactly how I want my 1980 SC to look. Mine is the same color. I am currently refinishing a stock decklid so I can take off the turbo s tail that is currently on it. I have polished Fuchs and want to replace them with black ones like yours. Congrats on a great looking car.

Thank you! The car is exactly what I wanted. It took a bit of looking, but it's finally home. I'm sure you do and will love yours! I really like the black fuchs as well. These are a bit dinged up, but nothing a little respray won't fix. Sometime in the future, though. Still recovering on the 'fun' budget right now as you might imagine.

Thank you! It is definitely well taken care of. I am looking forward to a long and healthy life I hope!

As others said...welcome aboard and great job putting up the pics! Your SC looks clean. I believe you'll keep it stock for as long as you keep the mk4. Are you stopping at 450 hp for the mk4? Seems like lots of Supra owners push for more.

Thank you!

I have vowed never to sell the mk4. I bought it back in 2004 for about a third of what it's worth now. Believe it or not, that is actually my first car. I never want to be the guy that talks about his first car he loved so much, but regrettably sold.

I do plan on staying at 450 hp for as long as possible. I am still on the stock twin turbos with basic bolt on upgrades. It's just nice to have something so reliable on the stock ecu, and with virtually no lag from the sequential turbo setup! I like how streetable it is now, and I'd like to keep it that way. That being said, putting on a single turbo can jump you to 800-1000hp so easily its unbelievable. If I ever blow the stock twins, I will probably go with a small single, and an aftermarket ecu setup. I won't exceed 600hp as a rule to me. Beyond that makes the car too much of a handful for the street. But a modern t67 can actually spool faster than the stock twins in sequential, and provides similar power deliver, just much more of it. Tuning for 800hp on 110 octane means about 600hp on a street tune. I wouldn't mind that ;)
