Door Speaker recommendations

Running a stock Frankfurt stereo radio in my 75, - no amp or cassette.

Looking for speaker recommendations for the doors while utilizing stock radio. Not interested in anything crazy- just decent sound, no mods to door panels etc. for the occasional usage.

center dash speaker replaced with OEM speaker from our host and it is wired in parallel to the passenger door speaker

Thanks for your guidance

Recommend a good 5.25" door speaker.

Speaker upgrade

Infinity Reference Co-Ax 6 1/2 fit perfectly in the doors. Very good upgrade for a very reasonable price. They will certainly improve the sound of the original radio. Add a little sound deadening inside the door and out. Helps a lot with unwanted resonance

Have 6.5 inch MB Quarts in my '88 and very happy with them. I had to make a plate that bolted to the door and the speakers bolt to that plate. Added external amp, sounds really nice.

Speedster,

I upgraded the 5.25” door speakers in my 84 911 back in March. I installed Rockford Fosgate R1525X2 Prime Series 5-1/4" 2-way speakers that I purchased from Crutchfield. They were under $50 and were a big improvement over the OEM speakers.

Very easy install. I did remove my lower door pockets to facilitate the installation; but I did not need to remove the inside door panels.
