Fuel Gauge
Hi all, my fuel gauge in my 79 SC only goes up to 3/4 full when the tank is completely full. Or am I being to impatient when I full the tank – I can see the fuel in the neck once I’ve filled the tack. Is this normal?.......... or does it sound like the car needs a new sender? Any thoughts or people had this experience? JP

I gave up on my fuel gauge years ago. I just read the miles and how hard/soft I drive.
![]() Good luck!

Either a new one or a cleaning......I'd check the sender first.....

Gauges and senders can both need attention. Swap someone else's gauge in for a minute to see which it is.

I re-flowed the contacts on the guage and all good now
![]() I'd say try the easy stuff first the dig into the sender in the tank
