Thermostat (early) : absolutely won't come out
Is there any cool jig for this? Even with levers under the lips, I could not budge
the thermostat on my '70 engine. While the engine is out, I was going to test it and put in a new o-ring. It's probably not bad, but if it ever goes bad I have no way to remove it. Thanks

someone may have used a lot of sealant, which is not needed. use a couple of crowfoot tools and some more effort.

Remove the two M6 studs and try to rotate the thermostat first.
Best, Grady

Good ideas, will remove the studs. Also I have a bigger pry bar I can probably
grind thin to fit.

Okay, got it out making a very strong pry bar out of an old gear puller piece.
It fought all the way to the end. It was not possible to remove the studs since they didn't protrude enough to get 2 nuts on anyway.
