use a 2.4 distributor in a 3.2?

am I missing something or would it be possible to use a 2.4 dizzy on a 3.2 ( 3.2 crank)? electrics aside, I don't see an issue. anyone?

put the distributor drive gear from the 3.2 on the bottom of the 2.4 dizzy. (different diameters)
I am assuming you are going with carbs?

yup. carbs. should give a better curve than the carrera or an SC ( with different crank gear ). also, I already have a 2.4 dizzy. in hindsight, I shouldn't have sold my RS dizzy . thanks for the info.
