Hello again Bay Area P-Car F(r)iends--
I've been chatting offline with several folks about starting a new thread about a 1/1/11 SF Bay Area drive. We started 2010 with such a good turnout (New Years Day Drive - SF Bay Area) that I've been looking forward to another large group drive all year, and I'm sure others have too! Here are my initial suggestions (as of 12/7/10): Location: Marin/West Marin/Sonoma County; roughly a 2-3 hour drive (including "bio breaks" and photo stops). I will suggest a couple of specific routes in this thread in the near future. Of course, others are welcome to do the same! Meeting time: 8.00am, with a planned departure at 8.30. Meeting place: TBD ***SEE MY POST ON PAGE 2 FOR UPDATES TO THE PLAN*** Of course, non P-Cars are welcome as well! Looking forward to it.... Chris (p.s. it would be great if a moderator would post this as a "sticky"--thanks)

Hi Chris. Sounds like fun but FYI that there is an annual anti football rally that also starts in Marin on the same day and even time. It's A LOT of cars and usually more show then go.

I'm in. Last year was a blast!
Not so sure about that whole anti football rally run.... Anyone know the Excellence Magazine test loop?

That sounds like a plan. It was fun last year even though my p-car was out of commission.

Unfortunately that looks like a ~2.5 hour drive to the starting point for us south bay guys, so working backwards I'd probably have to get up at 4:30 after New Year's Eve. Not sure I'd be in driving condition.

I would love to go, but a 4:30 rise time doesn't sound appealing. Something in the South bay would be great.

Count me in.
I'm sure there must be some pretty good north bay roads to make the early start worthwhile.

Sounds like fun...I'm in as long as weather permits. (Track tires and no wipers)
